Rocktoberfest
That's right guys it's coming fast and I'll be there. I figured I'd start this a little early and see who else would be down for a fun time at Cass. I don't know how much wheeling I'll be doing but I know it will be fun to kick back and watch some other rigs be rolled, crashed, stuck, caught on fire and whatever else normally happens. So if your down for meeting up for Rocktoberfest let me know. Date: October 26-28th should be fun.

You know I'm down!
I'll bring the new Taco but obviously won't wheel it.
I'll call Byrd's today and see what the camping situation is this year and whether they'll let me bring my 4wheeler.
So far it's:
Anthony (ADH8796)
Fink (4x4Fink)
Keith (Exeter)
Cory (colsoncj)
There are a few of our (mine and Anthony's) friends that may come down with us but none of them have confirmed yet.
I'm stoked either way!

Sweet dude, hopefully they'll be cool with that...I bet they will with it being so far away.
I'm going to call Byrd's around 11:00 or 12:00 today and see what's up.
I'll ask them how many rigs/tents/people we can fit on a camp site comfortably. If we can fit three rigs and people on one campsite then you, me and Anthony could share a camp site and the others could group together too. I do need to find a tent between now and then since I'm used to being able to sleep in my Runner. I'll go to Sam's and get a cheap one...no big deal.
I'll also ask them if we can bring 4wheelers and stuff...that will be for me mainly but if anybody else wants to bring one I could probably haul it for you with a trailer...just let me know.
I'll post up with what I find out...
Later,
Fink

Just found out... it's $75 for non members, or $50 for members of Rock Crawlers 4x4 of NWA. So NWA people might look into it... http://www.rockcrawlers4x4.com/index.htm I know I am...
They have meetings once a month, and they are actually here in Fay-town. dunno if they are mandatory though. They had a trail building/cleanup earlier this month at Byrd's, and are doing one again on the 29th. So looks like they actually do stuff... Sent them an e-mail, will let anyone thats interested know what I find out.

Alright I'm still not sure how many are going to me in my little group but I'll keep yall up to date on things. I also don't know if I'll be staying at byrds or in a tent up at the cabbin. None the less my bumper and winch are both on their way and so long as they get here before Rocktoberfest I'll be sure to have them installed. Might even build a rear bumper if I find some extra time. Anyway I'm pumped and I'm thinking it should be a good time.

All we know of for sure are me, Anthony and our buddy Clifton. Unless Byrd's allow 4wheelers Anthony and I will be riding together in his rig and I would imagine Clifton would bring his pimped out Escort.
I called and left a voicemail as well as emailed Byrd's about availability, entrance fee, 4wheelers and how many can fit on a camp site...I'll post up when they get back to me.

Just got off with Pam. Here's what we've got:
NO electrical camp sites left - $8/person/night
Plenty of primative sites - $6/person/night *FIRST COME FIRST SERVE*
$75 to enter a vehicle - She said if the rig looks at all modified/lifted you will be required to pay the $75
$50 per 4wheeler - $25 if you have already registered a rig (i.e., lifted 4runner hauling a trailer with a 4wheeler)
There is a spectating fee of $10/person/night
Camp fees and off-road registration are seperate.
She said they won't run out of room for primative camping but getting there a night in advance isn't a bad idea...you may not like what you end up with if you wait until the night of the event.
That's what I have so far.

Well here's my list of people that are for sure to be coming (Fink, Clifton, Brad, Steven, Sam, and myself) the list could grow however I think's that's about it.
Any new NEWS on rigs or people backing out? Also my winch is here and my bumper will be shipped out first thing tomorrow morning so I'll be all set.
