April 21-22: Sallisaw wheeling

Or, so I'm somewhat lieing. It's a wheeling/work party out at my place. For those of you that don't know, I got 29 acres with a lot of rocks, so the plan is to take my new tractor and move around the dirt and rocks in such a way as to form wheeling obstacles. Of course there will be plenty of "testing" that needs to be done during the construction process

Additional benefits include large bonfire(s) and some bbq. As long as someone knows how to cook bbq good.

What would you need people to bring besides a strong back? Shovels, picks, wheel barrows etc? BBQ sauce? Beer? Chips? Cokes? Cookies? (lol)

I probably can't make it but who knows; anything is possible. Too bad I didn't have a Toyota when I was up in Sallisaw working last year.

Yeah, I may take Friday off.

If anyone has a chainsaw, that could come in handy. Also, big steel prybars for moving rocks would be good. Other than that, beverages, chips, etc. There probably not enough room to sleep everyone in my house (and if Cory's mom is coming down she'll get the spare bed due to the whole age thing), so sleeping bag, cot, tent, whatever could be useful if you're staying the night. If you want to camp out, that's cool. Then you can cheat and go take a shower in the morning. Shovels... I only have 1, but hopefully we won't need that many, cause manual labor sucks. That's why I bought the tractor.

But most of all... bring your truck to beat on and a good imagination for creating stuff that'll break other peoples vehicles

Take Friday off, I'll be down in the morning... I got a nice new 18" Chainsaw we can use.... Also got 1 crowbar and 1 shovel, I'll bring both. It sounds like both mom and dad are comin down, but I dont know if they are stayin at your house or in a motel... We can figure it out when we get there. I'll do my best to talk them into bringin the new pickup to do some wheelin with!

Sounds like fun! I'm actually going to be in OK in April for about 2 weeks, and I should be around that weekend. I also need to see my uncle/aunt just north of Gore, so we/I **might** make it for a while on Friday and/or Saturday. I'll stay tuned in to this channel.

Sounds like a "justifiable" trip. Just make sure and bring a bunch of spares, my land is pretty nasty from a tire standpoint. Lots of cut down tree stumps and sharp rocks.

I really have a hard time imagining you sitting around all day and not wheeling. You must have way more self control than I do

No, it runs great. I just dont wanna pay for gas. Plus it looks like a bad weekend to try and burn.... (rain). We could always do the planning and burn on Friday during the day.
