4ROC Logo

Alright, we've decided on the 4ROC logo over the past few months. Now its time for everyone to think about the logo for each state chapter. I think it would be best that we take a few days and everyone can submit logos that can be easily modified and work for each state chapter. They would need to be based off of Gene's original design, which is the permanent 4ROC logo. The logos would need to be submitted as posts to this thread by 10 pm westcoast time on Friday and then I will create a poll for everyone to vote on them.

These are the overall 4ROC logos created by Gene:

DEFINITELY #2 on the new logos! It looks so much cleaner and sharper with just the state letters and no writing on top of them.

Great work!

Hmmmm.

It'd be easier to tell if I saw it with a "CA" in there for the chapter name.... (grovel, grovel)

Do we want to font-match the www.4roc.com between the logos?

I like the #2 layout, but I sure like the colors on the first...

I'd have to say the second style with just the NC or VA or what ever state. But i like the red and black colors way better.

Colors for each logo would be decided on by each state.

Both of my options need to be cleaned up a bit. I did them on Photoshop and didnt take the time to clean up their borders, etc.

Dont hesitate to make your own logos, that is what this thread is for. So that you all can design your own and submit them for voting.

I'm going to have to vote for #2 also.

I'd like to throw in my $.02. What about if you got rid of the "www.4roc.com" and extend the "4R" down some to take up the new space. I think it might look better.

Just a thought.

I'd like to see one without the web address in there also.

I like the top logo, red and black. Hey Gene, I made a rough Virgnia chapter version based on this, but can you make the original psd available so that we can keep uniformity in the chapters?

Allright, in response to what a few of you posted, I made one without the www.4ROC.com in it. As for making one with larger 4R letters, I tried it and well, it looked like ˟˟˟˟˟.

I like number two (huh, huh huh, huh), but would vote to keep the web adress on there- its a great way to attract membership.

I agree.

I really like the NC logo with the lettering over the NC. I don't think you need to spell out chapter though. I say this cause Pennsylvania is a long name.

Can someone email me a copy of the PSD so I can toy with it. I'm thinking colors like in the state license plates would be a nice tie in. Aren't there "official" state colors?

i took the 4roc from prolax's picture.... i then used a font called "star jedi" for the AZ lettering.... i just made the first copy of it red.... the second black.. and the third white and placed them ontop of each other correspondingly and then merged the layer down... looks pretty good if anyone wants that font i'll upload it

State colors: I dunno, i just chose the blue-ish color because it was already in the Theme of the website (I used a previous template) and it looked a little like the Carolina blue (Tar Heel Blue).

Ill email you the .psd

I don't know how it would look, but what about throwing in a US flag under the "4R".
