<YAWN> Another Lifted FJ!

Well, left my beloved 00 4Runner a couple years ago to build an 02 Chevy Avalanche and liked the FJ too much to stay away from Toyota any longer. Just picked it up a couple weeks ago, ran the 1k mile break-in period, then began the build up today. Phase II will be armor and winch, then to the desert we go! Good to be back!

Nice!
I was looking at the wheels and I thought they looked like the teflon ones, then I saw your sig and confirmed my guess.

Looks very good, did you lift it too?
If not, any rubbing with the 33" tires?

We are slowly getting more FJC owners here.

I will be posting pics of mine hopefully within a month.

Sweet looking FJ! How do you like the teflon wheels? They are my next purchase, and your truck is the first I've with them on.

Thanks for the comments, all. It's really good to be back into a Toyota again, although I have to say the Avalanche I built was just sick!

Corey, I threw the 3" Revtek on, will run it for several thousand miles (?) then start researching the long-travel stuff if it doesn't work out. ideally, I'll do the same sort of Total Chaos setup that I had w/ the 4Runner. I can tell you right now that I think the front would benefit greatly right now from some new TC UCAs.

RR, I like the "looks" of the Teflons so far. Kind of fits the subdued look I'm going after. Too early to say how well they'll hold up, but we'll see!

I dig teflon wheels. Only cause they are flat/satan black. So that is how I painted mine and they rock.

The FJ looks pretty sweet! Will be even better with the winch.

You know those FJ's are a little on the ugly side but with a lift, new rims and a front bumper they look cool. Heck, by just changing the rims like you did, makes it look 10 times better. Nice!

Fully functional desert runner, but a little heavy. 6" suspension, armored underbody, Line-Xd cladding and sails, 3/8" powdercoated diamondplate cargo covers, AR wheels, Yokohama MT+, chipped, amazing electronics modifications (entertainment and comms), and more. I loved it, but hated the $100 fill-ups!

If you don't mind me asking, how much are your payments for the FJC a month?

It looks awesome, by the way. I love the look of it with those teflon wheels. The meats look awesome too.

The truck looks good!

I really like the look of those wheels on the FJ, and for once I actually think the center caps add to the look. I don't know how into cosmetic changes you are but I think some slightly tinted tails would really look good on that thing. Seems like your going with the black out look anyway. The guy at tintedtails.com does great work and he has a big gallery of work he has done. What sort of armor are you getting? Are you putting an ARB out front when you do the winch or just putting it inside the oem bumper? I really miss having the peace of mind knowing I have a solid bumper out front.

As embarassing as this may be I just ordered those wheels for my Black Diamond A/T equipped truck. Sorry to "bite" your style but I just can't help myself espescially since Teflon will make for easy cleanup.
