Trail Team Special Edition FJ

Looks interesting...

WHAT MAKES THE TRAIL TEAMS SPECIAL EDITION FJ CRUISER SPECIAL? PLENTY!

"For starters, the standard FJ Cruiser's already impressive off-road performance is enhanced by trail tuned Bilstein shock absorbers; BFGoodrich All-Terrain tires mounted on TRD 16" aluminum alloy wheels with matt black powder-coated finish; Active Traction Control; locking rear diff; a TRD exhaust system, plus a Cyclone Air Cleaner under the hood.

The bold contrast between the all-white body color and the black wheels, bumpers, grille surround and exterior mirror housings make this FJ Cruiser stand out from the crowd. Trail Team badges, bumper mounted FJ auxiliary light, a five piece set of all-weather mats and cargo mat with logos, and color matched door trims and instrument panel complete its dramatic appearance.

Add a leather-trimmed steering whell, a nine speaker audio system with AM/FM 6 disc in-dash CD and MP3 capability, floating ball-type multi-informational display, shift knob and a convenience package that includes remote keyless entry, cruiser control, power outside mirrors with markers, rear privacy glass, rear wiper and rear parking sonar, and the Trail Teams Special Edition offers excellent value and authentic FJ Cruiser capability.

The Trail Tems Special Edition FJ Cruiser is set to hit dealers in January 2008, but with only 3200 being built".

I agree, that FJ needs more steel, like the original.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but it sure seems like there's not too much "special" to this special edition aside from the Bilsteins and BFGs - at least nothing that you can't get on a well-optioned "regular" FJ - I admit the paint job is pretty sweet but I have to wonder what the price tag is? Are the Trail Teams badge worth a big premium?

I agree with this. Doesn't seem like much more than an option package that was already offered. Seems like the could have offered upgraded bumpers and maybe... lets say a 2 inch lift or something to make the trail team FJs stand out a little more

Yeah, does anyone know the size of the BFGs? I'm sure I saw a special edition that had bigger tires and an ARB bumper (but not roof rack, I guess they don't want to admit that the stock rack is little help for off-road enthusiasts). Am I crazy? Was it the TRD? Maybe some sort of Baja special edition?

that's be super sweet if it was set up as you've described. although I must admit that IMO the colors on this one are the best looking out of all the other color options

I have the TRD model (which is basically, the previous year of the trail teams edition; with the same options minus the cyclone air filter), standard TRD exhaust, and a few other options. The main difference I know about is the ability to use a-trac with the locker. the bfg's are said to be 32x 1050. they may as well be, but the specific size is actually 31.65" x 10.43"

Pics of my TT FJ

Ok this is really agravating. I was trying to post a article with pics of my TT, and joined this forum just for that, but while I was setting up the URL with photos it logged me off and I lost all my writing.

Then I was posting different types of links to test which shows (photobucket has different types of link) and I can't even do that because each time it says I need to be approved by a moderater before I can see my post.

Ok this is just a really difficult forum and i really can't be bothered now so bye.

This explains why your post did not show up, but I saw it, and I approved the one with the pic.
