OME Lift installed... and OOPS

Well got the lift installed in about 3.5 hrs today. Still had a few hours of day light so i thought i would take it to some trails about an hour away and test it out. All went well and suspension worked great unil i tried avoiding a spot that a jeep got hung up on moments before. I slid into the water on the left side and kept sinking!!! At one point the water (and floating ice) was just a few inches below the window, tilt meter was pegged. I was amazed that the door seals held for about 20 mins, then just as the jeep was hooking up to pull me back the water started coming in. A quick tug and i was back on terra firma...

Here are some pics...

Yeah that was pretty insane. I thought for sure it was gonna keep on rolling right onto its side.

Luckily all is good and no ill effects from it. It'll need a good cleaning inside though. The driver door speaker was underwater for a few mins, it still sounds fine!

That sucks. Glad it didn't cause too much damage.

A speaker is just a solenoid and diaphragm.

but depending on the quality of the speaker it the diaphragm may be made of paper and the surround of foam which could be damaged by water. other speakers may be plastic and rubber tho
