I will be sure to get some pics of your Hi-Lift adaptor on the roof before to long Brian.
I hope to get a lot done this weekend.

This thing is like a spaceship inside.
Got the FJammer stero all programmed with the presets, and the bass/treble done.
The stock stero does not sound bad, but no way compares to the clairty and bump/thump I had in the 4Runner.
Give me time and it will

Going to try out the iPod in there later today when I get back from the alarm installation.

Thanks Mike.
This morning was the first time I have ever seen white face gauges.
During the day they look pretty normal, but coming into work this morning the whiteness lit up the whole front dash.
Pretty cool.

Coming in at 60 to 62 MPH on the freeway felt like 55 or less in the 4Runner.
I have a feeling with the 31" tires I was running with the 4Runner when my speedo said 60, I was doing 65 or more.

Corey, you can also change the radio faceplate between ten colors for any or all functions. See p.159 of the Owner's Manual. Mine's Blue for all.

Cool, will try that Bob.
Only read part of the manual so far.

Hooked up the iPod to the stereo this morning, and it sounded pretty good, even without a sub woofer.
Have the bass on 4 out of 5.

There were lots of gawkers in the parking lot today looking in the windows.

Today coming home from work a semi was merging left off the freeway ramp he was on.
I slowed down to let him ahead, but he was pacing me, and it was not looking pretty.
So I goosed it and was thrown back into my seat and shot way ahead of him

It is good to feel the power once again.
I have not felt this kind of power since my very first car, a '68 Chevelle with a 327 small block in it.

Sounded good to when I got on it.

Wait'll you get it broken in. It sounds growly at low rpm's, sings above 4K and pulls hard all the way to redline.

I couldn't find any '68 Chevelle small block stock performance data, but I'd venture a guess that your FJC is quicker to 60.

FJC auto probably gets to 60 in the mid 8 second range. Hardly a screamer in today's sense but still quick for a trucK

Inside Line got 7.8 sec 0-60 in their A/T 4WD. I've read faster and slower in other reviews, prolly depends on elevation, fuel and cargo load.

This morning merging onto the freeway ramp I feel like I am doing 50 to 55 and I look at the speedo and I am doing 72, good gosh.
It is really easy to speed in this thing.

I try and keep it at 60 on the way in on the freeway, but it just wants to run a lot faster.

It is nice to not getting all jared around and shaken up like I am use to from the 4Runner running on 5 cylinders.

Is she broke in yet with 51 miles on her

Thanks guy's.
You would think I would like to take a long drive this weekend in it, but I am so use to sticking around home since I could not take the 4Runner anywhere on account of its condition.

So this weekend is going to hopefully be a moderfull weekend.
Going to try and get the sliderz put on, the Powertank mounted to the cargo boxs, and other small stuff.

Have to do some research too on how to mount the CB.
I could mount it to the glovebox like I did in the 4Runner, but for kicks I held it to the roof yesternight, and as big of a CB as it is, it looked great.
There is a lot of room up there.

But I am willing to bet Cartoys would charge me a small fortune to route the wiring and stuff, as they would have to bring in all of the wires at once up there to tuck them in, and I have the following:
coax for antenna
power cable
external speaker
PA horn

Then the following weekend I think it will gets its first bath, then I will break out the Porter Cable and power clay it, then do the Griot's Best Of Show wax treament to it.

I will get it off road after the first oil change, and the CB is all put in.

Corey,

Congrats on the new ride. Looks great! Did you trade in your 4runner?
