My FJC order, part II

Without further ado, I present you, the most single hand item I have ever bought in my entire life with the exception of my house I use to have many years ago.

This is a continuation of my first thread
https://www.yotatech.com/forums/f135/my-order-fjc-81920/

Impressions?
Quit starring at me!
People were speeding up behind me on the way home to check out my big fat rear, then coming up beside me to see it.
And this was just the ride home from the dealer about 5 miles away.

Driving, power!
And when the 5 speed auto shifts, it sounds like you are driving a manual almost and going through the gears.
I may not even put a Magnaflow muffler on it, the stock one sounds great.
But then again, I loved the 14" (body) Magnaflow I had on my '91 4Runner.
The rig pulled very well, gobs of power, and I hardly touched the go pedal.

Goodbye dear old 4Runner, its been a blast, but two things are sure in life, death and taxes, and it was time to let you go.
You were good to me for many years.

Brakes
Very touchy, huge disc rotors, lots of stopping power.
Will take a light foot to get use to it, I am use to putting down a lot more pressure with the old rig.

Put the All Weather floormats in, and the rear carpeted cargo mat, and cut the tether to the stock gas cap and replaced it with the Stant one.
This is about all I will do to it tonight, this heat wave continues, and I am drained.

Getting the Clifford Responder put in tomorrow.
http://www.clifford.com/matrix/responder/default.asp
Alarm has pager built into the remote, and will beep you or vibrate.
LCD screen on remote shows which zone has been attacked too.

The other mods
Slee Hi-Lift mount
Bentup sliderz
Bandi CB antenna mount will be put on this coming weekend when I get free time.

Driving it home was a blast, but also a little paranoid.
First time I have ever driven one of these.

Blind spot?
There is no blind spot.
I could see out the rear window, the sides, and with the nice mirrors on the sides just fine and dandy.
I think the infamous blind spot is an urban legend.

Will be also looking into new tires before to long.
The stock rubbers gotta go.

Oh, did I mention I like the rig
Lotta fun, can not wait to let the mods fly forth and lighten my wallet once again like it did when I was moddin' the 4Runner.

I am sure I will think of something else to add later, but I am running on zero sleep here from the dang heat from yesternight.
Dang, it is still hot.
Turn off the frickin' oven please.

congratulations Corey. When you have a chance, can you get a picture of the emissions sticker on the inside of hood? I would like to see how it compares in specification to the 6 speed manual.

Talking

Where's the pink fuzzy dice that are supposed to hang on the rear view mirror?

Congratulations!

I am PROUD to know that some of us on Yotatech had a hand in helping you get a new FJ...even if just a little bit.

Looks good, at last the wait is over. One thing about a previous post on the FJC really has been bugging me lately. Just as I was begining to like the looks of the FJC you stated the black ones reminded you of Barney Phife's police cruiser. Now I can't even consider black with the white top. Thanks. Enjoy your new toy, and keep the pics coming.

Wow, simply awesome model and color combination, congrats!

Yeah, that A/T is amazing. I wrote long ago that it's AI adjusts to the driver's style and after a couple of tanks will shift even better than it does now.

Talk about stares, today I went up the mountain to cool off (didn't work) and stopped at a local inn for lunch. They were also having an outdoor wedding there with guests from Sweden and Japan. Most of the guests were pointing at the FJ while the couple were taking their vows. Then I remembered that it was the first one they'd seen since FJ is North America only.

Have fun during break-in. They truly are a benchmark truck and are built to go the distance while having fun along the way on or off road.

Thanks guy's, she is lookin' good sittin' outside my window.

Dublin, I am use to the black now, and I do like it.
After riding in Will's a few Saturdays back, I got to see the color combo up close, and it is nice.

I also forgot to mention Todd met me down there at the dealer.
Running on zero sleep folk's is not fun, not at my age

I wanna go out and do some more stuff to it, but it is simply to hot.
Just came back into the PC room here, and it is the hottest room in the place.
Had one of those hot/cold packs from my freezer on my neck for the last half hour, that helps a little.
Tomorrow we get a little relief in the hot spell.

Yeah Bob, I have never driven an automatic like this before.
I could swear it sounds like a manual.

My sales rep told me to wait until 2K to get the first oil change done, but I am taking it in at 1K as planned from before.
