You got that right Phil, I put the $500 down in mid March.

My dealer goofed, they were not informed on the correct way to order one.
I wanted "up package 1" which has the FJammer stereo, 17" alloy wheels, rear locker, A Trak system, and more.

But...you can not order that or the "up package 2" which adds the rear sub woofer unless you order the "CQ package" first.

Dealer put my order in, it confused Toyota, so my order had to be put in again.

Make sure your dealer does it right.

Congrats on the order too.
We need to get our FJ section into high gear.

PS, Phil, I will be ordering these down the road from ya too.

Yes they should, and it looks best to go with two to stack them.

4Runner, what did configure with your order?

I went through Jim Barkley Toyota here in Asheville.

www.jimbarkleytoyota.com

They are only asking MSRP right now.
Mine will be Fusion Yellow
6spd Manual
roof rack
convenience package
the upgrade package w/o sub
passenger arm rest
all weather mats
side air bags
COULD NOT GET ROCK SLIDERS...They said Toyota had discontinued them...probrably because they were not that strong....I am going aftermarket anyway.
ARB Front Bumper
$31,400 total....

Want to get rid of the Bling (Alloy) wheels that come with the upgrade pacakge. I want either the stock steel wheels or will go aftermarket as well.

I think these alloy wheels they put on are some of the sharpest factory wheels I have seen.
Normaly I am not a fan of factory wheels.

I will run them for a while before switching to a fake beadlock black type of wheel.

For rock sliderz, look through this section.
Both Bentup and Demello make very nice ones.

Bentup offers them in both round and square tubing, and Demello have a combo of the two.

I have a pic of mine in this section, very nice build quality.

Just noticed you are in Asheville too! Not TOO many 4x4 yota people in the area so its always cool to find more! Congrats on the purchase, you coming to riverrock for the fall colors run?

Don't get the steelies unless they are a second set for wheeling or something like that. Rotational weight is your enemy, especially when its on your DD. Plus, you should be able to get more for the 17s from selling them on ebay than the dealership would give you (this is a guess, I would check it out but something worth looking into). I would sell them when they are still basically brand new so you can sell them as new and not used.

TurboAle...

Yeh man...If I remember correctly...dont you know M. Dombe? J. Stafford is my cousin, they said we should have met up when I had the Runner....I'm sure we will sooner or later.

Yeh....dealer wont give crap for the wheels....so Ebay or the forum is the way to go....and may do what you said....keep them for on road and then get a set for off road...
