It's official - Adding A-TRAC to your FJ

you can either buy the factory A-TRAC switch, or any old switch to short out the correct wires. Check out page 3 of that thread to see the testing.

its just like the CDL switch for FZJ80s.

dont ya just love the yota community.... willing to try this stuff, and share it with the rest of us, even though i dont have an FJ or even plan on buying one, its awesome that we all can share the info.

what an ingenious ploy by toyota.. im sure it costs them more to make some of the fj's with atrac and some without-so they just made them all with atrac and priced them accordingly. if you buy one "without" it, im sure their cost is still covered, you just cant use it. If you buy one with the $2k switch.. its all gravy to them

Very cool, is ATRAC the same thing that came in my 03 runner?? Or is the trac control I have different? My xcase doesnt sound like its going to explode...its all brake work

I think it is the same concept from 01 to current 4Runners Trac systems which I like. It is best of both worlds with the FJ IMO with the e-locker also.

Defiantly, I love having both on my 07 Taco.. .now I just need to install the hack so I can use the elocker and the A-TRAC...
