daytime running light feature

Hi Guys!
Anybody know how to cancel the automatic lights on feature? I am a surf fisherman and it is considered really poor manners to shine your lights on the water at night!
Thanks,
Marc

I would post something about encouraging those who are new to YotaTech to familiarize themselves with the search function, but I think perhaps it may be too late...

I have a PDF file here of the scans Bob has in the other thread.

It is off of an FSM I just got for the FJ.

Most who are turning them off on the FJs do it behind the headlight on the FJ Cruiser.
There is a plug behind the drivers side headlight you just unplug, and that turns them off until you plug it back in again.

It is a silver colored plug which you have to disconnect in the middle.

There is another way to though to temporary disable them.
1. Drive to where you want to park.
2. Put rig in park for auto, neutral for stick.
3. Put parking brake on.
4. Shut off rig.
5. Turn on rig, leave parking brake on.
6. DRLs are now off until you release the parking brake.
