Bentup.com FJ front winch bumper PICS! DONE!!!

So here are the finished pics.....

I have NOT painted the bumper yet, but thought I would post up the final product for you all to see....

This bumper has a Warn M8000 recessed inside, with a hole to access the winch lever....

We will probably remove it tonight, and weigh it, with and without the winch. Keep in mind though, this winch has plasma rope and not steel cable, so thats at least 30# right there. I will post up weights when we get them....

Once again, MAJOR props go out to AJ, Chuck (snowchucker) and Emily...

Any questions to me should be sent to my email or thru TTORA, I RARELY look here....

Looks good Andy.

I read one of the replies over on fjcruisers about having an access plate on top to get to the rope to make sure it spools correctly.

But I am sure AJ will be doing some more to the final design of this.

I have ONE more pic, from last night, before I got home and put the fairlead and hook on..

And of course, you can also see the Bentup.com FJ sliders on....give me a week and they will all be painted a nice 'trim black'.

I was thinking the same thing. Is it possible to make a removable plate only to be used when wheeling, so you know your rope is spooling correctly?

Very nice lines and it gives the FJ an edge. Very cool

Primered pics.

In the last few days, I took the bumper off and primered it with some self-etching black primer.

I also coated the backside with a top coat of semi-gloss black, for addiitional temporary protection.

A winch window still needs to but cut an on top (it will be a large rectangular opening which will bolt back in place when not in use), and the soleniod control box permanently mounted behind the bumper...with the hand control plug relocated to the top of the bumper....so more welding will be neccesary, I just wanted to keep it from rusting for the next couple weeks.

Here are some pics from yesterday.

Why not cut out some holes for some fogs? It looks great nonetheless.
