Any truth to the rumor that the 08 FJ will have a removeable top?

I have my eye on a FJ to take over my '97 4Runner's duties as my primary ride but would LOVE a removable top!

Anyone heard anything about this?

I heard that TLC is looking into doing a conversion on it.

Same people that are doing the $80K Land Cruiser FJ40 Icon rig as seen in www.4wdtoyotaowner.com
Brand new FJ40 with a 350 HP Chev.

Nate, if you have not seen this magazine yet, run, do not walk, to your PC and order a sub to it.
Only way to get it, and it is 100% Toyota.

I got a pic of the owner of the mag, he is also a member here.
This is his FJ80 and him from the FJ Team run last Saturday.

Most awesome off road mag out I think.

If I was going to go with a larger SUV that is exactly what I'd be getting.. a mid 90's LC.

Is it safe to say these 2 FJ's on eBay are custom jobs? And why the $60K pricetag??

Any new info about a removable top FJ coming from the factory? I think I would prefer a removable hardtop over a ragtop...

Rumor has it that TLC was perhaps going to do one.
They are the creator of the $80K Icon.

I was in Tulsa on business about 4 weeks ago and saw the yellow one out in front of one of the Yota dealers. My jaw dropped when I saw the soft top. It would have fell off had I seen the price tag. Still pretty cool w/ the exception of the extra bling.

The dealer out here has a lot of them lifted. I'd say at least a 3rd of them are getting the treatment. Wheels, tires, lifts, etc.
