1GR-FE New-Gen S/C Dyno Chart
One guy did a dyno pull after installation and measured 304 hp. Other stock rigs pull about 185 hp, so it's good for 115+ hp! (Note: His installation is on a Taco, but it's the same 1GR-FE engine and kit).
It's a completely new kit with a maintenance free blower, water and air cooled intercooler, new injectors and plugs, and an ECM re-flash.
Here's his chart, it was 101F too:
Very tempting, and my dealer gives me fleet pricing so installed price (to get the full 5/60 drivetrain warranty, self-installed much less, see TRD site) is extremely attractive.
Think I'll wait to read more early adopters experience.

That is with Thorley Long tube headers and jardine exhaust (stock y-pipe and rear cats) and TRD intake. It's Jon's truck.
Someone with the same mods but a 4x4 with stock intake made 285hp.

So now I wonder what the headers contributed?
I watched the video three times and got an average 0-60 of 4.7 sec! It kept pulling just as strongly through about 90 when the video ended.

Yeah and he said he was light on teh throttle in 1st and didnt mash second... cause it will spin the tires.
Another dude is saying if he rolls into it in 3rd gear he can break the rear end loose.... (xrunner again)

Greg, I noticed that he didn't rev at launch. After seeing the chart, I understand why with the instant torque.
Bob, congrats! I have to believe that any mod to increase flow at either end will help an F/I engine more than a N/A motor.

URD has some nice exhaust parts for the 4.0.
Intake, you're not "Supposed" to use one, but the TRD one fits (URD does not) and jon got some good power out of it. The tune is PERFECT too... unlike how the 3.4 used to be... TRD did it right this time...

Only if it's bigger than stock. I wouldnt go less than 3"

Intake, you're not "Supposed" to use one, but the TRD one fits (URD does not) and jon got some good power out of it. The tune is PERFECT too... unlike how the 3.4 used to be... TRD did it right this time...

i run a 2.5" on my 3.0 and i lost no low end... a 4litre motor WITH a blower is pushing so much air, 3" is mandatory... hell a 3.4 with a blower should ahve a 3" exhaust..
N/A, yes smaller is usually better, but forced induction... bigger is better.
less backpressure, and with a turbo the exhaust will run cooler and spool faster.. both big pluses...

The 1GR with this new S/C kit are a generation ahead of anything else Toyota has produced. The materials and tolerances were selected for heavy duty truck use from the start. Besides having a rev limiter, consider:
-- The 1GR has oil cooled piston crowns, four bolt mains, forged rods and a tranny cooler (A/T's) standard.
-- The S/C has a water cooled intercooler, new high flow injectors and correct heat range spark plugs, plus an ECU re-flash. The A/F ratio is spot on, no evidence of lean running.
-- Boost is limited to 5-6 psi, moderate pressure.
-- Even boosted, it's still 75 rwhp/liter, stock is 60 crank. An N/A stock Camry is 67.
-- Dealer installed, it's covered by the 5/60 drivetrain warranty.
I really don't foresee engine problems. My concern is about stock clutch life.
