Taking off T100 bed?
Has anyone tried to take off the bed for a 1994 T100? How much work is it? How many bolts.
I need a new tire carrier and unfortunately it won't come off without taking off the bed. Tire carrier is broken and I have nowhere to put the spare. Regular cab too, so no room in front and I don't want to put it in bed or it will get stolen.

shouldint be too hard i think there 4-6 bolts holding it down just disconect all the wires if you dont have a bed dollie just get 4 freinds to lift it off

Dont forget to disconnect the two fuel tank hoses (filler and breather) from the fill port before trying to remove the bed. Otherwise its just the body mount bolts that need to come off. Might as well install the body lift on the bed while your at it. The cab is much more time consuming.

They are right- just lifted my 97 (i realize its not the 94) and the bed is very easy to remove. I think it took me 15 minutes to remove and lift the entire bed. Very simple. As far as lifted the cab (im talking body lift) it does take much more time..around 3 1/2 hours or so.
But with the cost of a body lift-might as well

Yeah, I know the thread's a decade old, but I'm trying to get my 15, so I can ask some new questions.
I lifted the bed off my 96 T100, ExCab, no problem. Had to weld the front corners of the bed after metal fatigue took its toll from a lumber rack with too much front overhang (excessive oscillation/vibration). The hardest part for me for getting the wiring harnesses apart from 20 years of mud.
