New T100 Wiper Issues

Hi everyone. This is my first post. I just bought a 95 T100 DX Xtra Cab and I love it! The only issue the car has is that the wipers don't work properly. When you turn them off they don't return to the bottom like they should, they just stop wherever they are. Also the Intermediate setting doesn't work, it is exactly the same as the low setting. I am unfamiliar with the wiring. I'm guessing theres a relay or something that is bad. Does anyone know what it is and where it is located? Thanks in advance.

Yup, there is a circuit board inside the steering column that has a loose/broken wire. It is hard wired, so you will need to solder it in place. Remove the top and bottom covers for the column and you will see it......

This happened to me with my 96. The contacts in the motor needed to be cleaned..

The contacts in the motor won't effect what the switch does or doesn't do. I'd wager that if you put the stalk to intermittent, and push it gently toward the front of the truck, the intermittent will work. That is how I used to park my wipers--switch off, push forward and they would park.

Klierslc was right. Took it apart found a broken wire. 5 minutes with a soldering iron and it works perfect.

Old thread but I had this same issue with the 95 T100 I bought. I took apart the steering wheel and found the wire that goes to the circuit board relay was completely disconnected. I soldered it back in place and now have both intermittent and wiper park functions back.

Loose wire in Center of photo. It goes on the circuit board close to “C1”

Loose wire has been soldered back in place

thnks for updating this. my wipers are slowly developing this problem and theyre doing a lot of work this time of year. Is this a fix you can do just by removing the steering column cover?
