Engine Trouble

I have a problem, this morning i started my truck up like every morning at 4:30am heading to practice(i coach a basketball team) and unlike ever day my engine has trouble starting. Once it does start the idle in hopping around like crazy- since it has never happened before i thought it would clear up in a few seconds. I drive about 10 feet, with little to no success. The engine light started to flash and then stayed on completly. Of course i am towing the truck to my mechanic tomorrow, but was wondering if anyone had any thoughts which i can check out before i tow it.

Any advice will help, thanks

I have Denso part numbers 234-4153 (rear) and 234-4162 (front) and they are both brand new (zero miles on them). You can have them both for $125 plus shipping. These fit 95-98 3.4L 4wd vehicles.

PS - I see from your tag line that you have a 2wd. The part numbers are different for 2wd so I cannot garauntee these will work.

It turns out it wasn't the o2 sensors. Thats what the test came back with, but there was an underlying problem. One of my fuel injectors was sticking open. it would continuously spray (even drip when the engine was off). So we replaced that, replaced the spark plugs/wires/coils and it works perfect.
Actually since we were doing all that work we changed the seat belts (cause they never retract-but the new ones a great), changed to oil, recharged the air conditioner, adjusted the e-brake, ratated balanced and checked the pressure in all the tires.
A lot of work really, but im glad its done. And i'll tell ya- it sure does pay to have a friend whos the head mechanic at a very large toyota dealership.
I've seen what some other people on here have paid for similar work and its a lot!

well it could...especially if its a favor from your girlfriends dad...lets just assume you aren't number 1 on the list.
so i guess 3 weeks isn't horrible. plus if you are having your jambs, etc. painted-that takes time too
