Cost to Replace Water Pump '96 T-100 3.4L

Does anyone know the cost to replace the water pump on a '96 T-100 4x4 with the 3.4L engine? Mine seems to be leaking. Thanks very much.

Probably a couple hundred bucks at least because you're taking the front of the engine off to get to it.
HOWEVER ----
Typically, when its time for your second timing belt... 120,000 miles give or take, one usually replaces the water pump while he's in there. If your mileage says time for a timing belt, just have them do both. An independent shop will typically charge $800 appx for this, and the stealership will typically charge twice that...

Am i close on this guys????

I paid just under $500 to have it done at the dealership. They changed my timing belt, water pump, all drive belts, and flushed the coolant, and gave me a loaner for the day.

Around $500-600 is about what you will pay at a dealership. and they will replace the timing belt and drive belts when they do it. Gernerall rule of thumb is T-belt, water pump, and drive belts need done around 90K. If you do it yourself, your're probably looking at about ~$350ish for parts from the dealer.

Maybe if you buy everything from the dealer.

I just bought the belt from the dealer which was $55, and bought a water pump and belts from car quest.

I use factoy parts and will do the whole job parts and labor for less than $350. OUr shop charges $300 for just a tbelt and another $150 for the w/p I beleive. BTW...your 2nd tbelt should be done at 180K not 120K. Tbelts are every 90K by factory recommendations. Of course the stealer want you to do it every 60K.
