Interior or exterior handle? Stock/OEM or aftermarket?

With my first T-100...when my stock/OEM exterior handle broke one day, I fixed it by drilling a hole through the broken piece and the handle. I used a nail (cut to size) and epoxy to bond the nail and handle/broken piece together. Let it cure and it was good to go. Probably much stronger than just the plastic. I think I have a thread on 4x4wire.com documenting it...

Aftermarket handles seem to be made cheaper/thinner...so they break a little easier.

its a out side door handle. the stock one broke on me one day(i didnt replace it so i didnt get a chance to look at a real difference between the two) after than it was like one right after another someone who didnt know would pull hard and pop.. ive replaced at least 6 over a year. i finally got fed up and tried something similar to what you stated above and it lasted about a week. i tried some bonding material that said it would withstand 3000 psi.. that lasted about two weeks. i guess the next step is to get them from the dealer. which im not looking forward to.

I have found that if the rubber stops on the handle are gone, the handle develop cracks when the handle is let go and slams against the area where the stops are supposed to be.

Those aftermarket door handles dont even have rubber stops. No wonder they break so easily.

Yes, my passenger side outside one broke a couple of months back. I replaced it with an aftermarket part. It's still holding. You likely won't get epoxy or JB Weld or anything else to stick to the broken part.
