95 t100 trouble starting when engine is hot

Having issues with my 95 t100 not starting after running the engine.
It starts great when the engine is cold but after driving somewhere and shutting off the engine, it takes 30 seconds for it to finally start back up.
It just tries turning over and over. It has also been dying a few times when accelerating from a standstill. Runs fine on idle but as soon as you tap on the
gas, it hesitates and dies. Changed the fuel filter 200 miles ago.

Any ideas?
Thanks

Fuel connections tight after the change and no leaks or smell of raw fuel?

Vapor lock I recall can give you the same scenario, if I'm not mistaken. So any component involved like fuel pressure regulators or fuel pump...

Electrically, could check things like crank sensors, fuel system relays, loss of continuity or good contact in wiring...

Kinda all over the place, but list of plausibles starts off that way and you just have to narrow them down one at a time.

Hope that gets you started at least!

Other details to your case, symptoms, incidents, or maintenance, please describe.

There's quite a bit of similar posts for other models in the other forums. Might clue you to just browse them and see something that might make sense to help you out. The T100 engine was also used in the Tacoma and 4runner in certain gens.

Good hunting!

Oh yeah, quick test to see if fuel related is doing the starter fluid test. Spray a decent amount into the intake and try to crank it over right after. If it still doesnt start, the problem is likely outside the fuel realm.

What engine is in the T100? I think 1995 was the year Toyota changed engine choices to match the new Tacomas and 4Runners.

Is the check engine light on? If it is on, you have some codes that might point you in the right direction.
