you should just be able to plug em in, just dont touch the bulb itself when installing them

What guage wiring are you running currently? I would consider going to 14 or 12 guage for your power/ground wires. This would let you get the most amount of power for the new 100w bulbs.

X2, wear gloves when you install them unless you got steady hands.

My hella 500's came with 16 guage wiring. While this is fine for the switch ground,power and ground. I wired up 14 guage wiring for the relay power,ground, light wires and light grounds, I just havn't upgraded to 100w bulbs yet

14 Guage will do you good with 100w bulbs. Just make sure you use the properly rated connectors.

I just upgraded my Hella 500s to 100w bulbs a few weeks ago. The only thing I changed was the inline fuses. If I remember right they came with a 15 amp fuse and I bumped up to a 20 amp fuse.

Watts = Amps X voltage

Stock
2 X 55 Watts =110
110 watts / 12v = ~9.2amps

100 watt bulbs
2 X 100 watts = 200 watts
200 watts / 12v = ~16.7 amps

These aren't exact numbers, but just trying to show that you'll need something larger then the stock 15 amp fuse
