Timing Light

Well, I'm going to need a timing light, the one I had is long gone from the 60s. I'm sure what's out there now are much better. What's a good one that I could buy without breaking the bank? Any one recommend one?

I got the Actron CP7529 Digital Timing Light used for $72 through Amazon last 2017. Very happy with it. Sells for $80+ brand-new, though.
I figure if by having it I can do one job myself then I get my money's worth.

I have the more basic Actron timing light that only as a single button on the back. I think it is the Actron CP7527. If you are on a budget, this is a good basic timing light to have.

It does it's job well, but if I was to buy one again, I would probably get the one RAD4Runner mentioned above as it has more features (has a built-in tachometer).

I've carry the cheap 40396 from harbor, it's definitely not a snap-on, the dial is a bit soft on the adjustment. So much I added a rubber band under the dial from pot (knob). I reckon you'd need a oscilloscope to know how far out it is from dead on zero.

This is all you need. $30. https://www.harborfreight.com/timing...nce-40963.html You don't even need the advance feature with your truck.

A lot of people use HF timing lights on our rigs. Does the job just fine and leaves extra money for truck parts.
