Sending Unit Repair for 78-89 Toyotas $5
Hi Everyone, This is my first post. Got tons of info here and found the chance to share some info. Im working on 2 89 4runners ( stick and Auto V6's) and noticed my fuel gauge was at Zero, took tank out and found my sending unit rheostat winding was shot at the full end of the winding. I found this YouTube Channel by The13thSword : 1978 Toyota Pickup Hilux - Fuel Sender Rebuild for $5,
Please Send him a Like On his Channel to show the Appreciation. I sure did. Saved me from Spending almost $400 for a new one. Hope everyone enjoys and shares his Channel and hit Likes, I don't know the guy but the intel is Awesome.

My original fuel sender unit in my truck works just fine so I have not needed to do anything with it yet. It is nice that these fuel level gauge senders are fairly simple variable resistors.
