power window and lock convertion questions

ok so ive been wanting to do a pwer window and lock swap in my truck now i like to idea of the aftermarket power window kits which i would buy one to put i my truck but i was wondering if i could take the arm rests out of a same gen 4runner (reason for 4runner armrest is because i cant find any for the pickup with power windows unless they have a different place tat the switches go) and bolt them up and get the factoy switchs to make it look nicer ya know
so what i want to do is get a power window and lock kit for a 95 toyota pickup but the 4runner armrests, pass switch, and master out of a pickup
do you know if this set up would work or not?

that's what i meant. the toyota truck power window regulator for similar models will bolt right in. that's what i did, except with new regulators. i also made my own circuit with 4-runner rear window switches. the swap was incredibly easy

where does the original switchs mount?
is the armrest different?
topeka seems to be lacking in u pull its ect... found one guy though runs a scrap yard that i letting me pick a pair of buckets out of any car/truck on the lot and all the power steering stuff for my truck just need a 4wd box for the et of chrome wheels off of my truck before my convertion

they should. just make sure a) it's from the same years [84-89, 90-95, etc] and b) make sure you get the one that matches your window type [ventilator or non-ventilator]

search ebay to get a good idea of what you want (there's pictures, prices, descriptions, etc), then decide where you want to buy them. i got mine new from ebay for a decent price.

as for switch mounting, look through the link i posted earlier. i put them in the center console.

reviving my own thread here i finally got around to getting a set of doors off a 4runner with power everything and all the switches what i couldnt do was unplug the harness on the passenger door so it had to be cut, or get any of the computer stuff so i have to make my own circuit which isnt to big a deal thanks to irab for posting a basic diagram on his thread
i want to use all the factory switches but need to setup my own circuits plus do everything for power mirrors and power locks
is all the power window control box just a box full of relays
basically what im going for here is a stand alone power window/lock/mirrors using oem parts
i took the doors apart today and was looking at the inside and realized i could minimize the wires going to and from the door by mounting the relays to the door in the forwardmost part of the door i already got the drivers side mirror swapped ill post a write up of the passengers side with pics but im probably going to go ahead and get the hang of it thatway when i do my right up it wont be a complete clusterf*** like most off my other write ups
