Picture Request. Hella 500 Driving beam patern

I would like to see what the beam pattern is like on the hella 500s all the pics i can find are of the lights mounted on a truck. Could someone get a pic up for me. thanks.

Im thinking replace my crapy $18 harbor frieght lights (Im amazed they are going on 1.5 mo and still work) Thinking about 2 hella 500s on the bumper and some hella 4000 corner lenses on the roof. That would be sick in my book. Opinions?

I don't have a real picture but this is the picture I found of what the lighting looks like on google images, and it is accurate. They are awesome for the money, one of the best mods to my truck for driving at night, great offroad and good onroad ( on dark empty country/mountain roads) just make sure you turn them off when someone else is coming

HIDs or go home. Haha j/k. On a serious note though. Have you considered buying some Hella 4000s and put a HID kit in them? HIDs turn heads.

That's a great point. I can only use my lights when I'm deep in the country or all by myself on the road. From what I read the "burners" will burn out quick without proper warm up time.

I would put the 4000 on the bumper, and the 500's on the roof, even though your gonna get reflection off of the hood and make them worthless for driving.

I have 500's on my roof. I don't get any reflection from the hood, though I get it through the back window and sunroof!

It would be quite awesome to get them on the roof with some HIDs but with the reflection off the hood it kinda sux. I'm still debating on if I should do that or not.

what you really need is search lights, you know the ones the use at airforce bases, so they can spot things in the night sky, this way you dont have to worry about not having enough lighting, because any body who is on the road in front of you woll be instantly blinded and sent off the road in an horrific crash with lots of smoke and fire, and screaming. The down side however would be that they would look really ugly.

You want to be careful with the roof mounted lights, a bud had a pair mounted on his roll bar and they actually lifted the paint on the roof and faded the hood in two nice clean lines.
