The stock oil presure gauge in our trucks arn`t very accurate, at warm idle on my 4Runner reads at about a quarter on the gauge and when driving it reads close to half on the gauge. If the sending unit is bad the gauge can read real low or not at all.

Does any one know the actual psi reading? I picked up a auto meter cause the sr5 gauge cluster I have doesn't work even with the new sender. I think I had something like 50 psi during my test hook up.

I have a slight "nose bleed" reading this, but helped me a little to understand.... I plan to read it again and expects the same nose bleed but would be hoping to digest it even more.

oil pressure problems
I have an 02 tundra with the 4.7 v8 recently the oil pressure was low at idle and while I was driving so I changed the sending unit nothing changed so I put in a manual gauge. Now on the manual gauge when cold at start up my oil pressure is between 75-80 PSI. When warm & driving about 55 mph. it is about 45 PSI. When I stop at idle its between 10 & 12 PSI. Does anyone know anything about this have any suggestions please let me know.
