Need help with turn signals...
So, I've never come across a worse wiring problem than this....
Just bought a 94 toyota pickup. The 22re is rebuilt and runs great, aside from my turn signals. for some reason, my turn signals work just fine when i'm not pressing the brake pedal and do not have my running lights or headlight on.
this is how it goes...
-I see my turn a few hundred feet down the road and throw on my turn signal. everything works great
-i begin to brake for the turn and suddenly the indicators in the dash blink faster as if i have a burnt bulb. when i'm stopped and get out to diagnose the problem, i have someone throw on the blinker as i'm behind the truck and when the brake pedal is depressed, the rear blinkers switch from the blinker bulb lighting up to the left and right brake lights alternating. Then it does the same thing if i simply have my head light on.
I know it's hard to understand that, maybe i should just record a video, but does anyone have any ideas one what i need to fix? my flasher relay still looks brand new. and as far as i can tell, there's not one wiring schematic in my service manual for the blinkers...probably because it's a chilton.
Any help is appreciated. Even something as simply and finding my a flasher wiring schematic.

look to see if it has one of those trailer light converter boxes they are known for causing light problems.
If it does not look for a bad ground at the light sockets.
does it do this with both sides
