Hello all, new guy here.... Just bought a '99 4runner SR5 4x4 yesterday and so far I'm very pleased with it! As with all new vehicles there is that learning curve where you're trying to learn all the ins and outs. Anyway, to my point.

The 4runner came with a 2 button toyota keyless entry key fob. I'm wondering if this is the correct fob for my vehicle as I've heard tale of the 3 button fob having a back glass role down feature. I've tried to program it to my vehicle with no success, but I think I may have messed up the sequencing, so I'm not ready to say it won't work.

Also, how easily mod-able are the factory systems? The reason I ask is, I thought it might be cool to figure out a way to hook up a remote start unit to the factory alarm.

A lot to look at here, but I appreciate any help that can be passed on and look forward to getting to know you guys. Thanks!
