Hooking up aux. lights....

Hey guys/gals........

I was wondering if I could wire my aux. driving lights somehow into the factory brights circuitry so they'd come on at one time with the one switch. Is this possible and how, if so? I have an idea, but just not sure if it's safe or what's the best way to do it.

yes its possible. you just need to figure out which wire is for the brights and splice it into that circuit. you may also want to rewire the bright circuits if possible so it can handle a higher load, ie, if the stock wire is 14 gauge, you might want to go with 12 or 10 gauge. thats not necessary, but might be a good idea....

Splice in like mentioned above accept use splice to control a relay that turns aux. lights on and off with brights. Much easier, safer, and you don't have to rewire the circuit. I do this with fog and reverse lights and switched aux. power source in the cab on mine.

You really need to try the search feature here, it truly is fantastic. In case you have forgotten, it can be found here. https://www.yotatech.com/search.php

But as whorider suggested it is best to use a relay to achieve what you want.
