headlight

2002 Toyota Tacoma drivers side headlight wire melted. I replaced the wire connector the light comes on but its not bright.

Did you put in a high amp draw bulb? I use to run 130w H4 in my 84 truck. Bought a 97 Taco and swapped the bulbs over and immediately melted the wiring.
Had to rewire it back a ways in the loom. You might consider swapping your fuse.

I bet the light was dim because it was feeding power and/or ground off of the other headlight, as they are wired together.

Just make sure your wires have been repaired! See Dropzone's advice above if you are not running stock headlight bulbs.
