fuse for trailer lights?

Where is it? My trailer light plug isnt getting any juice to it. I havent had much timew to mess with it. I did research it some and heard about the "black box" that some of the yotas have. Any thought?

in the 4runner I believe its back behind the side panel in the trunk pass side. your gonna have to remove the panel to get to it if remember correctly.

Might help to clue folks in as to which of your selection of Toyotas you are referring to:

- 1987 4runner
- 1990 4runner- sold
- 1997 4runner- 2WD DD
- 2002 Tundra- Dads truck
- 2004 Sequoia- Moms ride

in the '99 and '02 it is connected w/brake light fuse (at least on mine it is) under hood left side fuse box...so if you have brake lights you'll probally have to look for bad connection or break in wiring.

Ok so I found the dreaded "black box" and the plug going into the bottom of it was unplugged (white, brown, yellow, green from the plug at the hitch). I plugged it up and it blew the brake light fuse (so then the truck wouldnt shift out of park). Any Ideas? is the box bad?
