There is also a 2 wire plug seen in the picture at the bottom right of the box in relation to the picture... that is the only thing I can find really out of place... I thought a while back it was part of the stock radio which I dont use... I wired my own stereo straight from the battery with an inline fuse(it's kosher)...

When I picked up my 4runner(89 V6) the blinkers/hazards werent working.
Oh, sorry I did not notice yours is an 89. I thought it was a first-gen like my 86 22RE. Schematic I have might be different. Maybe someone out there has an 89 V6 schematic?

Still no dice... Can anyone make any suggestions on what could be the culprit. If both hazards and blinkers don't work and bulbs, fuses(horn/haz fuse under hood and turn signal under drivers kick),flasher and female side of flasher all test good with a test light? If the turn signal switch was faulty would it cause the hazards not to work for some reason? If any less than 12V is getting to any of those could it cause zero blinkage?

Starting tonight and all this weekend I'm going to get to the bottom of this. Any ideas welcomed.
Thanks again.

For the sake of future members searching for this problem... I found the problem. Although the circuit board where the flasher relay was plugging into(the female side) was testing fine at first realized it was intermittent for some reason ... not having/wanting to buy an entire board I bypassed the prong(right/farthest forward) with a separate 12v source. I bent the prong outward so it would not plug into the board as that way it was making my "BRAKE" light stay on even with the key out of the ignition(no idea why it was only that light). Thanks for those who gave input.

So now I have blinkers again!

Of course, they do. I mean pics of how you fixed it, to help others who may also need to fix theirs.
