Smile Faulty Power Window

Greetings,

I have a 2003 Tacoma 4X4 extended cab with a 5 speed manual transmission, V-6 engine and power windows.

I am having difficulty with driver side power window not rolling up.

Window opens correctly but when I try to close it, the window will go up for about 3" then stops. I wait several minutes and rolls up another 4 or 5". Again I wait about 3 to 5 minutes and rolls up again to usually the closed position.

Not sure what is wrong with the window. The door locks and passenger side window work well. When the window does roll up it closes smoothly.

I have not attempted any repairs wanted to get some ideas where to begin looking for faulty parts or electrical items.

Thanks!!

I would check that your switch contacts are clean and making good contact.

Go from there.
