Red face Electrical Distribution ??

I am just curious I searched the above topic and got nothing.

My problem is I am working on a vehicle that has most of the electrical system gutted when it was hauled to my place. The owner has no idea and no notes were made or wires numbered and one wire could be spliced 3 times using 3 different colored wires

The problem is I have a whole bunch of lugs that need to be connected to the positive side of the battery. Winch , starter , and a few more I can`t think of.

My thoughts are to make a block from abs plastic using brass 3/8" bolts and copper links to connect the 2 bolts . Allowing all the lugs on this block and one to the battery when it is all done.

the bolts would be counter sunk and base filled with silicon to prevent shorting out.

any thoughts or maybe another idea or two.

thanks

You should be able to find some lugs pre made and ready at your local home depot in the back of the electrical section. Should be near all the crimp connectors and stuff. They should have some pre made junction blocks too. Might not be able to use one depending on the Amps your planning on running through it. If you want to coat them with something pick up some non-conductive silicone grease while your there and then wrap it all up in this tape called friction tape. Should come out pretty solid if you ask me. Just another idea though

I have all the lugs and such and crimping them is no problem with my hydraulic crimper.

I had thought of just using a one stud set up but that just didn`t look right .

I hate going to Home Depot it always costs me so much$$$$
