For a seven pin, you'll need a stand-alone electric brake controller and an integrator to switch out our separate turn signal bulbs and incorporate them into the brake filiment.
Google turned up a great site here to learn which pins are for what.
Here in Ontario, trailer brakes are required over 3000lbs. I guess your trailer is between 3 and 5K?
