Okay so i have a 93 pickup with the 22re and 5 spd. The funniest thing happened the other day. The light harness for the trailer was one of the uhaul 4 to 3 boxes with the flat connector out back. I cut the box out and reconnected the wires.. all my trailer lights work they way there supposed to but now even with the trailer hooked up or not when i hit my brakes the dashb and parking lights flash. any idea on what i screwed up.. thanks.. you have wired up your parking circuit wire to your brake wire. I did the same thing on my truck. Kind of a cool effect but will get you a ticket sooner or later.

I highly recommend the Hopkins trailer light converter boxes. They likely have a plug and play model already for you, since you cut it out you may have to splice it back in. Take your time and label each wire and then it will be easy to match them up.
