'94 Rear Window Defroster Switch

In the process of wiring up some fog lights on my light bar. Pulled a typical stock rectangular rear window defroster switch with back side plug out of a 1994 4Runner. Back side plug has 5 wires - blue w/thin white stripe, white w/thin green stripe, black w/brown stripe, black w/yellow strip, and green.

Wanted a switch that would fit the stock switch bay. In order to wire the switch as an on/off for fog lights I only need 2 of the wires but which 2? Looked for a wiring diagram on the internet but no luck.

Any help would be appreciated.

Without having a wiring diagram, the easiest way to find two wires to use is to grab a multi-meter and start checked which two wires have continuity when the switch is on and lose continuity when the switch is off.

My only concern (since I deal with wiring up ALOT of stuff as an installer) is if the switch is beefy enough to handle the current directly for your fog lights. I personally would use a relay with the switch to handle the electrical load that fog lights tend to draw.

I know this thread is old, but did you ever get your switch to work with your fog lights Yota1DA? I just picked up a factory switch out of a 4runner as well and am looking to do the same mod.
