2nd Gen 4Runner Lighting

So after scouring the fourms for some headlight options for my 2nd gen 4Runner, here is what I came up with:

1 - Buy some LHD clear headlights from roughtrax4x4. But they are expensive ($200 with shipping) and do not include bulbs and are not E-marked.

http://www.roughtrax4x4.com/?doc=16&cid=741&vid=1221

2 - Fit on some hella or roundeyes 200mm rectangular lights and have a gap next to my grill. (But get good lighting pattern)

3 - Suffer with crappy sealed beam lights

Does anybody have any recommendations?

are you trying to upgrade or replace stock ones with stock ones?

I am looking at replacing the stock headlamps with something that outputs more light and has a better beam pattern.

not everyone's a fan... but I bought HID's and just through them in the stock housing... yes they blind the crap out of everyone, but the light output is uncomparable

I've been looking into this as well lately I got HIDs with 4200k bulbs but I cant stand it casue the pattern is so awful. A buddy gave me these neat clear rectangular headlights with projectors built in so i was gonna try and see if i could get the grill assembly from a 90-91 fit since i have a 93.

If you're comfortable with $200 or so, do an HID + projector retrofit on some clear lenses..

Black housings are Morimoto FX-R projectors with Gatling shrouds (cut in half), chrome housings are Morimoto MH1 projectors with mini gatling shrouds.. I'll be doing a retrofit on some fluted 4runner lenses in a few weeks, I'll post up a build thread / how to for that for anyone interested, as well as the next 7x6 retro I do (with FXR 3.0 and 55w 5000k's.. soon.. soon..)

Dead serious, nothing else makes as much sense (to me) as projectors + hids. Go to www.theretrofitsource.com, best place on the internet as far as I'm concerned.

I know this is like a year ago but I've been looking into getting some of the sealed beam projectors and was wondering if you ever put them in and if they would be worth the $30-40 or are they not much better than stock?
