Yota Swap Month

Okay so i just gotta crazy idea, who wants to trade there yota for a month just to test and feel out another yota for a month?

Its a CRAZY idea but it could work, whos up for it ? I got pics and descriptions of my yota on my profile let me if your brave enough to try it out.

Rule 1: NO screwing up the other truck while under your care!

Come on guys walk a mile in someone else's shoes!

It is a decent idea thing is if any of us would really want to do this we would be spread all across the country and then some.

I let a friend drive my pick up just a few miles less then 10 miles his clutch skills were lacking. This same person driving his vehicle thought nothing wrong with rolling 10' to 15' back on only a slight incline while trying to pull out. I was putting a clutch in a few days later.

Would you really want a stranger at the wheel of your baby???

uh, yes. this sounds insane. i don't want anyone cooking my clutch, let alone all the other "quirks" i'd have to teach someone about driving my 23 yr old truck.

what's your purpose? i think you'd have better results asking for exactly what you'd like to drive, and maybe someone will take you for a ride in their truck or let you drive it a couple hours.

if you were in uptown ATL *buckhead*, i'd take you for a ride in my truck, and you can see what it's like to drive a 1st gen Runner with no top on it. but no you can't drive it.

ok, your right. I was assuming everyone would know how to drive a stick before taking on that responsibility and that everyone would also know how to "baby" the other truck.

Now that you point it out i can see how this is not true, and as far as wanting to drive anything specific it was a general idea as ive driven about every gen runner and a couple tacos being stick or auto.

Just a crazy idea to throw out there to get some good ole conversation started!

Yea screw that. If you're not a good friend of mine then you probably won't be in the drivers seat (probably can't fit, anyway) and you're not taking my truck out of my line of sight.

well, there's nothing wrong with tossing out a crazy idea once in a while. wakes people up.

but i'm pretty sure that most of the people here are like me with their trucks, in that we covet them like Gollum did with his ring. "my precious!!"
ha

best way i can think of to experience some other rigs, is to participate in some weekend off-roading meets. check your local ORV sites for groups that meet regularly.

Wabbit has hosted a southeast 4Runner meet in the past, i don't know if he is this year, reach out to him for info on that.

In a perfect world i think that'd be a great idea. But like TJ88 says, i cringe when my wife drives my truck... i dont think i could handle seeing a stranger drive off in it.

I let my buddy drive my 95 limited runner after getting the lift on it, I was drunk and he was sober. Sober guy rolled it.

The last time I let someone borrow / drive my truck (the white 87 you see in my signature) to go get a battery for his car, he took the truck out to the glades for a quick ride, got it buried up to the bottom of the windows, hooked the tow rope to the roll bar to get it pulled out, and managed to rip the entire bed off the frame, twisted beyond repair.
Nobody drives my truck again!
