What are these threaded holes

I have a '93 extended cab pickup SR5. in the back of the truck above the seat back cushion there are two plastic plugs right below the window. When you pull these off there are two holes there that are not used and are threaded. Anybody now what these are for? Any ideas at all?

How big are they/what size bolt would fit in there?

Shoulder belts maybe? Perhaps not used in US models, but required in other markets?

They are M8x1.25mm holes used for the Child Car seat teather attachment. Says it right in my manual. The bolts are available from the dealer.

Well, what I was thinking is taking off the big plastic trim piece and puting a piece of tubing behind it and using that as my shoulder restraints for my 5 point harness belts coming with my mastercraft seat belts. Then I would put the plastic back up to make it look clean or factory. What do you guys think?
