So last week I replaced the transmission in my 1999 4Runner. I've got the old one sitting in my garage, and it needs to be rebuilt. Does anyone know where I'd be able to get some money for it? Maybe take it to a scrap yard, or a trans shop? I would be awesome if I could get like $50 for it. Thanks

 

If you could post up the model number of the tranny, someone on here would probley give you more than that. Or rebuild it and keep as a spare.

You might want to post on here in the Classified section .

Stating it is a core only and any problems you are aware of.

Maybe someone local will grab it shipping would most likely kill any deal otherwise.

 

Man.... I wish i had moved out there already. I would give you like 100 and pick it up haha. I would use it for a spare. Heck if i can, soup it up a little..

But sadly... No... If you could get it to illinois for free then ill take it haha.
