Watch your cats man..

So my teacher brought this up in class today and i couldnt believe it so i looked it up. He said people we stealing Catalytic converters and selling them to scrap metal places for $200-$300 cash!! He said thats why the ads always say "We buy junk cars for $300, running or not!" So i did some googleing and I found this article which pointed out that 4RUNNERs are usually victims because they have two and because they sit high up off the ground .

Toyota also bolts on their cats so they can steal them quietly with a wrench while you are sleeping. Just tack those suckers on.

I keep my cat in the garage so she doesn't run off.

this has been going on for over 3years.

theives use a sawzall to cut them off so it doesnt matter if they are welded or bolted

My cat is fairly self suficent. She spends most of her time out in the fields hunting mice and other small animals. She can take care of herself so I don't think I have to worry about keeping an eye on her but thanks for the advice anyway

Had mine stolen in February. I was in school for about 4 hours, come out start the truck up and the horror set in. They hit it with a sawzall. Lowlife scum. Didnt even get to have a chance to line it with razor blades.

The only thing I can think that might deter theives or at least slow them down would be to wrap the pipes with a thick high grade chain so that it would be harder to cut through.

some people need to kill themselves and save everyone the hassle. maybe you could figure out a way to put some death around your cat so when they touch it, they don't live anymore

I can't seem to find anyone that'll give me squat for my old cat up here. I held on to it because I heard they were worth a lot for scrap. Apparently not in Canada.

There are plenty smartass. None of them seem to want to give me any money for my cat unless I'm bringing in a truckload.

I called a few places and they said $3-$10 for one.

I have a few friends who say they get $150 for one, but they wont tell where. They buy them from other people for $50.
