I took the carpet out of my truck. I noticed that I had some surface rust on the driver side. Some of the factory sound deadening was lifted, so I proceeded to pull it up and all the material on the driver side came off. (I haven't touched the pass. side yet). I'm going to get some POR15, clean the rust and paint the entire floor with it.

I want to use "Dynamat" or some similar material to "replace" the factory stuff with. Will Dynamat adhere to POR15?

I don't want to spray bedliner on the floor. I will be reinstalling a new carpet.

You shouldn't have any problem sticking sound deadening on top of POR15.

Also, Dynamat is possibly the most expensive sound deadening you can buy. The original dynamat is a tar based compound and the sound deadening qualities of it are pretty bad compared to the rubber (butyl) based stuff.

Dynamat Extreme uses a butyl compound, but you'll pay even more out the ass for it compared to other brands of similar quality.

I recommend RAAMmat, I've used it in my acura integra through the entire cabin. I've read up on quantitative tests between Dyanamt Extreme and RAAMmat and they come out pretty similar and RAAMmat is a faction of the cost. I've got a link here for it: RAAMmat.

 

I bought a POR15 kit for my frame. Haven't applied it yet, but from everything I know about it, it's supposed to be excellent.

Thanks for the links. I've read good things about POR15. I know the prep will take some time but it will allow a better finished product.
