Sorry, but i'll leave it at that and just say everyone should subscribe, especially YT moderators.

I read it cover to cover today and while it was good reading...who can afford to SAS a 2005 Tacoma, cool to see, but pointless IMO. They need more articles like the one on replacing a clutch (more detail needed) and less about SASing $30,000 rigs w/ $6000 axles (and that was about a 1/10 of an article).

So far I am pretty satisfied with the way it is looking... I think that there is already a lot of diversity in the mag that creates an appeal to all gens of yota owners. I too would be dissapointed if it did all go to high end mods but don't feel like the mag is representing itself that way.
Bring on the next issue!!!

Well, I didn't see any place in the mag or on the web site for feedback to the editors, so I'll just throw it here, and hope it trickles back to them.
I liked the effort. Whatever I may say after this doesn't change that.
I agree that it seemed quite LC heavy. Granted the events chosen lend themselves to that kind of rig, so I don't have much of a beef there, and they are the more "major", i.e. eye catching events.
The cover advertised a section on 4x4's around the world, with a picture that only appeared in the ARB interview. (The section seemed completely missing to me. I've read it cover to cover 3 or 4 times now). I would love to *really* see pictures from toys around the world, including both outback style, and iceland style, and whatever else I can't think of.
I loved the fact that Scott Brady is doing the expedition articles, and I hope that he can continue to be a major contributor, and further that they go into more details about the things that make a good expedition rig. I'd like to see expedition stuff from all across the country and the world, so I hope possible contributors get a hold of him, and feed him material.
I loved the fact that the advertising was ALL to the point. I even enjoyed slobbering over the ads (even though little would fit my 3rd gen
)
I think they should hire Bob to do modification writeups for them!
That's enough for here. If they ever publish a way to write them feedback, I'll send more.

Hello all and THANK you for all the feedback. It IS read and discussed and your points are valid and well taken! The first issue was that, a first issue, and we'll be tweaking and shaping and correcting the damn typos too. We won't be turning into a high-end style mag with the beauty queen trucks and such. No way. There will be an occasional piece on that, but they'll be rare.
Please feel free to send feedback on the issue to: info@4wdtoyotaowner.com. Every email will be read and probably replied to.
Also, on mailing times of the issue: Sorry for those who are still waiting. I wrote our shipper and asked what was up. here is her reply:
David,
With bulk mailing we take it on a pallet to the post office...From there
everything rests in the hands of the postal system. It is entirely possible
that the post office split up the pallet and it went in batches in the mail
system. The post office gives a normal delivery range of 7-10 business
days. However, we have had people who say that it has taken up to 4 weeks
sometimes for the post office to deliver their magazine. It really is up to
the post office how fast it moves. Luckily most of the time they do perform
in the 7-10 day range, occasionally it takes longer (magazine gets routed
through the wrong post offices etc and makes it's arrival to final
destination much longer than it should). Since there is no way to actually
track bulk mail, it gets really tricky to pinpoint a reason for the delays.
If you are interested in talking with someone at the post office directly
for more information on their side of it, let me know and I can get you a
name and phone number of one of the local people we work with. Glad to hear
you are happy with the quality of the magazine :-) Have a great rest of the
day!
Nicole
I'm sorry for your frustration and can only say, please be patient and hang in there. It's in the system, it's now up to the US Postal Service. I'm looking into options for future issues for a faster delivery system.
Thank you for all the good feedback and responses, too! We're stoked that you like it, and we are listening to the feedback. Thanks to all who have subscribed!

im sure this is what it's like for all magazines, but the thing is that we don't know when the magazine is done at the presses and sent out. so just forget that its coming and once you finally forget it will be in the mail and you will be presently suprised!

Paid by Paypal. Looking forward to getting it!
Still have yet to get mine......
