One very easy trick for this is to use a turkey baster. You can measure exactly and also dispense easily!

Man I read this thread when it was half as big and look at it now. Ok so do you guys think this will have a big effect on my runner if I had the injectors flushed a few weeks ago? Im gonna have the plugs and wires changed soon so thought I would try this if I can find any seafoam around here.

I can't believe I read that entire thread....... Anyways it seems as though many of you have had a great outcome with the seafoam. I'm going to hit up my local Napa store and grab a few cans and give it a try. Great info! I love this forum already!

Yeah, well just about every car/truck I've owned had drained my wallet, so that won't be a shock.

The thing is..... I use my 4runner mainly for work, so my mods will be limited to a few things here and there. But I will also have a couple of things that I'll be posting up in the near future that I don't think anyone has done to their rig yet!

Anyways it seems like a good group of people, so I'll be around here fairly regularly.

I think my gas mileage has gone down since i have done this...isn't supposed to boost me up. I read this whole post a few weeks ago. I read it the day that i actually put the seafoam into my 'runner because i was kind of nervous about it lol. I think i remember someone saying that they got worse mileage also, but i did not want to hunt through this post because it is HUGE!!! Think if i do more treatments it will work out better? I could feel some engine improvment about the first week, but now it seems like it was. I think i should pick up a couple of cans and see what happens.

Thanks!!

Mine settled back down as well. Then I did a few more shots to the intake, and it pepped back up. It may just be some of the crud getting lose and causing problems. Do three or for shots to the intake back to back to back following the directions and see if that helps. When it's TRULY clean, you won't be able to get it to smoke much at all.

Just remember to dip the hose all the way into the can so you can get it in faster. J/k. Seafoam works great, but I think I have to do another treatment. As far as the O2 sensors are concerned, can you clean them with intake cleaner and they'll work fine? If this is true, you really don't have to buy new ones, right?

Hey guys...I did this a bit back and I thought if you dip the hose in you ran the risk of hydrolock. I just ran it through the pvc hose and a couple of cans in the gas tank....it worked great. It did take multiple doses through the pvc hose, but it was worth it. I had to check my o2 sensor and spark plugs afterwards. My spark plugs were super dirty from all that gunk floating around.

I don't know if it's Seafoam, the great 70 degree F weather we had, or a combination of both but after adding a can of Seafoam into my fuel tank, my truck seem to run better now. My truck has seen over 300,000 miles and the fuel injectors never have been taken out and cleaned so maybe the Seafoam helped that out. ???

First and second gear now seem to push me into the seat ever so slightly. I let my truck rip all the time and just noticed this after adding the Seafoam.

On the interstate, speeding up from around 75mph doesn't require me to go wide open anymore. I can just accelerate like normal and it'll keep on going. When I decided to floored it, seconds later the governor kicked in. I didn't know I was going that fast already.

Finding this new surprise from my truck, I decided to take on a 1996/1997 2WD S-10 w/4.3L V6. I was actually side by side him the whole time up until around 70 mph. When he was a bit into third, that's when he started pulling away. Not bad for a 1989 4WD Toyota ext cab pickup w/31's (did I mention it's an auto??? ) against a manual 2WD 4.3L V6 powered S-10.

Next year, I'll do the Seafoam vacuum line thingy and see if that does anything for my truck. My five month old engine is still a bit too new and I don't think it needs the Seafoam yet.

Dont know how many people are still reading this thread since it sooooooo long now but I finally found a store with some seafoam and finally was able to seafoam the runner. Was planning on changing the plugs soon and with labor day weekend this was the perfect timing. Man pinching the damn pcv hose is tiring! I'm glad I read everyones post before trying though because it stalled at one point even though I didnt pour alot in it but wasnt worried because of what someone posted. I woulda been scrared had I not read about it. Did two seperate trials using about 2/3 of the can and dumped the rest in the tank. It didnt smoke alot right away but when I drove off, it smoked like crazy. Pretty cool actually. While I was at it cleaned out the tb too so hopefully the next tank of gas will yield some results.

i don't see any problems other than you won't have vacuum to suck it into the intake. (unless at idle, the supercharger doesn't produce any boost). i guess you could always take the belt off of the supercharger pulley, so you wouldnt get any boost.
