Ran out of gas this morning...
Right where the interstate exit traffic merges onto the highway where my office is and boy were there some angry people trying to merge with me going 10 mph! The one good thing was I stalled about 100 yrds from the gas station and was able to crank back up and make it to the pump.
I noticed a STRONG sulfur smell and I am wondering if that means I sucked up some bad stuff from the bottom of the tank... Should I run some injector cleaner or perform any other maintenance after running the tank dry? I know it's not good to run out of gas, I definitely won't let it happen again.

No, I am just a dumba$$. I knew I needed gas on the way home last night but I've been working so much lately that I was just dying to get home. I figured I could make it to refuel on the way work this morning but I cut it damn close.
I figure I'll put some seafoam in the tank since I don't know anywhere that has BG44K or whatever it's called. What exactly is an engine flush though?

I have never heard of this before. I guess I'll google it to find out more.
Matt, I am guessing that you are trying to say that flushing won't do anything to help the bad effects of sucking crud into the fuel lines right?

There are 2 fuel filters on your truck. One is a pre-filter located in the tank itself to catch larger particles. The other is on the frame rail. Change the one on your frame rail and you should be fine

I've done that several times the last year or so... I always try to fill up at this pump near my work which always has the cheapest or nearly cheapest gas in town, but some times I don't get there in time with the hours I work and then I forget to put in a few bucks next morn. and... oopps... Oh, Crap!... lol
Does'nt do the system any much good but as long as you always use a good quality fuel from a reliable and clean source it should'nt hurt either... a little can of fuel injector cleaner should take care of any thing the filters missed.
I always zero the trip meter at every fill-up. I know I can get 540kms out of every tank all the time and if I have to I can usually get to around 570kms+ before I'm dead in the road.

I HATE YOU!
570km a tank. BOO to you! Im in the US, but my runner was originally sold in canada, so its in kilometers and I get around 380-400 tops. My conversion is off, but usually anywhere from 190-240 miles a tank. BOO. This is a mysecond v6 runner and about same as last one.
