wow your junk has come along way from the trailertrash beginnings it had,
kudos!! I would go the steering route if I were you. BTW I thought you were
from GA? I spent about 4 years at Ft stewart.

I would take care of the essentials before worrying accessories, so my vote goes towards a beefier steering setup and/or better brakes.

well current add ons are custom bumpers, sliders, SAS. Next mod prob air tank and small stuff. Maybe a snorkel system or exo cage. I'm not sure gonna play with it for a while 1st.

Front bumper and winch gets my vote. With all the mud and stuff a winch sounds like a good idea. Getting the right bumper up front will just make it easier when you go to Exo your rig.

whats your goal?

the hard core of the hardcore wheeling?

then you need all of that ...front winch, exco cage, seats, harness and stearing and brakes.

i thought 42" tires on stock axles = toast

you got lockers?

yep all that, just one thing at a time.

Put on the back burner till I get an engagement ring...

I got 30 spline Longs in the front & a Ford 9" rear, so the axles will hold.

Id go with a bumper and winch, you can use it to get unstuck or to stabalize yourself when crawling. But if not id say an exo incase you flip it.

What Mods

First you need to sell me your hood & put on a snorkel. Then buy the bumper & winch.

What is it about this post that encourages people to keep answering the question when the post is months old and the truck was going up for sale last I knew.

I am going to drop in a new 22r in my 82. I am also thinking about going to RE, should I do this all at once or does it matter?
