So Im planning on fixing my leaky 22RE this weekend; new valve cover gasket and front crank seal. I noticed that my dipstick fits in the tube pretty loose and Im worried it could also be a cause of leaking oil. Am I gonna have to get a new one from Toyota? Every other vehicle Ive driven the dipstick fits in snug.

 

so just the dipstick sits in the tube loose? If so, that won't cause a leak. If the tube is loose, that'll cause a leak.
