My Yota is dead :(
I found out the other day that my 4runner is pretty much dead. I took it to a toyota mechanic to have them give it a detailed look through to find out what all the problems were with it. When they finally got to it they took it for a test drive and came back and called me immediately. I guess the 3rd cylinder has no compression, they didn't even look into the rest of the problems that I know it has. Its not worth it to fix it up at this point since its probably going to be 4k or so to get it back up to even close to par. I went out and got an awesome deal on a 98 Audi A4 with 1.8Turbo.
I plan on still sticking around Yotatech, since all of you are the coolest people I have met.

I might possibly part it out. I'm still not sure what Im going to do with it at this point. The only thing on there I have that isn't stock is the Rock Sliders I build myself. The engine hade about 198k miles on it. I would swap it out for the 3.4 but the body had rust and there is more wrong with it then just the engine, Im just not sure what all of it is.
I would love to buy another Toyota, but gas milage is a huge thing for me now since I'm driving 15 miles to and from school everyday and I'm only working part time. Once I'm out of school and have a stable job I'll probably buy another 4Runner to play around in.

Unless the frame/body is in really really bad condition, don't part it out. That just takes another 4runner of the road.... Sell it to someone that will put another engine into it.

Yeah now after thinking about it I might go that route, just turn it into a wheeling only vehicle. I won't get much money from selling it, and I just don't feel right about parting it out because I love it too much still.
