Is my 22R really stock?

I have a little 87 2WD long bed pickup, and having a stock 22R motor I was not expecting it to have a lot of power in general. It seems like I have way to much power and I don't know why. I can pull a 0-60 in just under 8 seconds. I noticed when I bought the truck about a year ago that my valve cover had new bolts on it. But besides changing my spark plugs and a rebuilt stock carb. I seem to have to much power.

So my question is this. Is my 22R really stock or did a previous and original owner do something to it (a priest at a local church)

What kind of power do you get from you 22Rs

I think if I dyno'ed mine I would be lucky to come in around 75 HP. Ship me yours, problem solved

it might have a cam and maybe some valve work. I would just run it and not worry about it and enjoy it..

Lol, I enjoy my truck so I think I will keep it, but what ways could I check for an after market cam or valve work?

I am defiantly not complaining, I just never heard of a stock 22R having actual power.

And this is my first truck, but when I bought it I never really expected much out of it. I was playing around and raced my friends 240Z and acctually won, then thats when I figured something was up

In all honesty the 84 or 85 4cylinder pickup was the most powerful in its class
